Texas Wildflower Picture

I just got back from a 3 days trip to the Hill Country / South Texas to photograph some wildflowers. As a landscape photographer, I tend to shoot in the peak hours, which includes sunset and sunrise because it can transform an ordinary picture to be an extraordinary one. As a landscape photographer, it can be a daunting and frustrating task as you wake up hours before sunrise hike to an area and hope the light cooperates, spend the rest day scoping the area and then try to shoot at sunset. In the spring and summertime, the hours are much longer in the day, which means I am usually out in the field for 14 or 15 hours. In a 3 days span, I only hope to get 1 descent shot with some dramatic light of a landscape. Unfortunately, in this trip none of the dramatic/golden light happened, but I am still please with some of the pictures I photograph this weekend. I am strong believer that you make the best of any situation. This is a little different than my usual dramatic light, but I hope you guys still enjoy it.
