Hawaiian Sea Turtle Picture

One of my many highlights of my Hawaii trip other than photographing a rainbow with a beautiful landscape and beach settings was photographing the Hawaiian sea turtle underwater on one of my last dive trips. At one time, the sea turtles were one of the species that was endangered. Fortunately with the Endangered Species Act that was passed in 1973, these gentle giants are coming back in full force and even some locals dubbed the turtles as the “chicken of the sea”. I like this picture of all the sea turtles I photograph the most because this little one stretches over 5′ wide and 4′ long and it was swimming by as it was high-fiving me. 🙂
