Bluebonnets in Big Bend National Park

Bluebonnets in Big Bend National Park

Rumored has it that the bluebonnets are blooming in the Big Bend area. I am excited that Spring is just around the corner and to see our state flower blooming throughout the region. The bluebonnets in the Big Bend area are much bigger in height and can grow up to 3′-4′ high. The wildflowers in the Trans-Pecos area of Big Bend are not quite as dense as the other regions in Texas, but still are gorgeous to see thriving among the mountains.

This bluebonnet photo was photographed in Big Bend National Park on 3/30/13.
